City Rep Presents The Glass Menagerie

Drawn from the memories of Tom Wingfield, an aspiring poet who toils in
a shoe warehouse, this gripping drama is an American story set in St.
Louis during the Great Depression. The arrival of a "gentleman caller"
for his sister (arranged by Tom at his mother, Amanda's insistence)
ultimately serves as a catalyst for the release of pent-up frustrations
and resentments among the family.
The Glass Menagerie features David Mays (last seen by CityRep audiences
in Our Town) as Tom Wingfield, Dori Neff (Our Town, A Christmas Carol)
as Laura Wingfield, Duke Anderson (A Christmas Carol) as Jim O'Connor,
and Equity artist Linda Leonard (Dirty Blonde, Our Town) as Amanda
Wingfield.
The Glass Menagerie is directed by D. Lance Marsh. Mr. Marsh is an
Assistant Professor in the Oklahoma City University Department of
Theatre, and is also the Artistic Director of TheatreOCU. He has
appeared onstage in the CityRep productions of Moonlight and Magnolias
and Our Town. Set and Lighting Design is by Don Childs, Costume Design
by Jane Childs, Sound Design and Composition by William Burns, and
Properties Design by Joshua Cain. Steve Emerson is the Production Stage
Manager.
